For quick relief I find taing 2 tums every so often (as indicated on bottle up to the max allowed) I know its unconventional, but shareing yer problem this is a FAST help, The pain should ease overnight, thenyou can at least get some relief, next best is drinking cherry juice. I asume yer not taking allopureinol. That requires a prescription, which id get as soon as ya can. By the way as soon as you get a tingle if ya pop two tums it seems to work for me.
