Could my gout diagnosis be wrong?
I was told by the doc that I have gout because i had pain and swelling in my big toe and a slight elevation in my acid level. I took the meds and rested for almost a month with no relief. The day before i started hurting was doing defensive training with kicks to a bag. bent my toe back a little but didnt think anything of it. after reading about foot pain I came across turf toe wich affects the toe very similar to gout. My wife is a nurse so she wrapped my toe to brace it. i had instant relief. Now today i can walk with very little pain. The pressure and stability has improved my comfort level 100%. If it was gout wouldnt the wrap and pressure make it worse? Could this be turf toe or a joint sprain? Could my levels be high because I am on the p90 x workout diet , which is alot of protein.
