Why are people on here so mean?

Why can't people just answer the questions you give them and go on with their day like normal instead of make people feel bad? For example I asked a question that us realty haunting me and people want to say I'm a lie. If they knew anything they would see there was a gap in my participation of y!a. I have my sisters account now... I just want to know why people go to such measures to make people feel bad on here...
