Has anybody had a knee replacement go bad after around three years?

Hello everyone! In April of 2008 I had a total knee replacement done. I was 46 at the time, my right knee was bone on bone and very painful. The surgery itself was pretty rough, but after the therapy and it healed up, it was awesome. No more pain at all. I had good luck with it until about 3 months ago. After having my first bout with Gout (which is also extremely painful) my new knee began to hurt again with a vengeance. I am absolutely disgusted. I cannot go back to my original surgeon, because I owe them money. they won't let me see him until the balance is paid in full. Well, like most people in these hard times, money is tight. I was wondering if anyone may have had a similar experience like mine. The pain is constant, but much worse when standing or walking. The pain is mostly on the inside just below the knee cap area. I hear and see ads about defective joints constantly. Please anyone, I would deeply appreciate some feedback. Thanks and God Bless you all. Wambam
