Yes I think it is. I take expired medication and no bad effects on me. Go to the doctor and ask him or her to prescribe the Uloric tabs that are 40mg. They work like wonders. I have not have a gout attack since being on it for the last year. By the way it is nice to know that I am not the only gout yahoo answers person here.
