I started taking Colcichine for 3 days prescribed by my doctor. Went to the ER, scanned my foot, took a Uric Acid level test and it was high. No I'm on allopurinol...I started the first week with 1 pill a day now it's 2 pills a day on the second week BUT the left foot that was having the gout attack is fine and relaxed......my right foot surprised me and now my ankle is swollen and hurting......the Allopurinol is 100mg a pill. Should I be able to take more to get rid of it quicker? I think I read up somewhere 600mg is max dosage a day.
